This classically styled chronograph is by far one of the nicest chronograph watches I've seen for this price point. The Invicta Speedway Chronograph model 9211 offers itself up to be a bold accessory to any enterprise or casual attire. When this watch first arrived, in the typical curious yellow Invicta box, I was assuredly excited to take this thing out and start playing with it. I don't commonly mention packaging on this blog but this watch was shipped in a very nice, well constructed box, compared to other (may I mention more expensive) watches have come in less ability packaging. Anyways, back to the chronograph. One of the most curious features of this watch is its white dial background with black-outlined sub dials, curious Tritnite hands and small wee indexes. For those of you who don't know, Tritnite is a luminous material with extended glowing properties which was exclusively industrialized by Invicta in Switzerland to be added to their timepiece hands and markers. Agreeing to Invicta, when exposed to regular daylight, Tritnite will glow for almost 20 hours. I wouldn't necessarily consider this a knockoff but it assuredly looks a lot like a Tag Heuer Aquaracer or Rolex Submariner, just with a fraction of the price tag . Surprisingly, this watch gets more compliments than some of my more costly chronograph watches.
The three popular ,favorite chronograph sub dials on this watch part time within intervals of 1/60 of a second and are capable of up to 30 minutes of elapsed time. Like other chronograph watches it possesses the start, stop, and reset functions. The round silver stainless steel watch case is about 1.7 inches with very nicely engraved units per hour markings on the bezel. This chronograph is a nicely designed, anti-reflective mineral crystal which appears to be of higher ability than some other watches. There is date function at the 4 o'clock position which is also other nice added touch. It is, of course, water defiant up to 660 feet. Now, I know it has Japanese guts, but so does Citizen, Seiko and a lot of other well respected chronograph manufacturers. Trust me, with its create and functionality, your friends and house will think you spent over 0 dollars on this watch. If you are finding for a nice, sturdy, chronograph with the style to match up, head to head, with some of the more costly chronograph watches out there, this Invicta is the watch for you.
